No, its very bad. Its always better to stop an unbalanced load, rearrange the load, then resume the wash cycle.
My washer is leaking, how do I make it stop?
Try to find the source of the leak. If it is coming from the supply hoses, check the condition of the hoses and make sure the connections aren't loose. you may need to replace your hoses if they are too old. If the leak is coming from somewhere else then you should turn off the water supply and have a technician inspect your washer.

You want to turn the water supply off to the washer to prevent flooding if a hose or valve breaks while you are gone.
Why does my washing machine smell like eggs, or worse?
This is caused by using too much detergent, the wrong kind, or both. there are parts that are designed to reduce the friction of the drum rotation and these parts do wear out with time. if your dryer is louder than normal or making other irregular noises then it could indicate that these parts need to be replaced. you should have your dryer serviced to prevent further, more serious damage.

Check your wrinkle guard settings. some models will continue to tumble with no heat after the cycle finishes to prevent wrinkles from setting. You could have a bad timer that continues to heat while running. this could be a fire risk.

if your dishwasher is a model that pre-heats the water, then the problem could be from cold water entering the dishwasher. It takes up to 30mins for the water to heat. If you want to avoid the wait, increase the incoming water temperature before turning on the dishwasher.
